Elia Rita is a Spanish poet and performance artist. She is currently preparing proposals for postgraduate studies in Creative Writing, writing a screenplay about Victorian London, and trying to find time to read for pleasure.

Elia is a wandering artist, both literally and metaphorically. Her research interests include walking art, shepherding, theories and practices of love, and the interaction of Literature and Religion.

 

In the past, she has led workshops on creative writing, performance, and sound art; worked as the documentation coordinator for the first online edition of the 4th World Congress of Psychogeography; and completed internships in the Department of Media and Performance Art at MoMA (New York), and at Southern Exposure, a non-profit arts organization (San Francisco).
