Elia Rita is a Spanish artist researching movement culture as part of her walking-centered practice. In 2021, she will be conducting movement and sound art workshops, alongside her collaborator Sergio Lecuona, at the homeless shelter Centro San Joan de Déu València, as part of a socially-engaged project curated by the CCCC Museum. In 2020, she was chosen to be part of GOL (Observation Group for the Local artistic practice), as a representative of the Valencian emerging live art artists; additionally, she nurtured her walking and movement practice by attending the Shepherds School (Inland) and studying human anatomy at the Physical Therapy School of her hometown, Valencia.

Elia has worked as a documentation coordinator for the first online edition of the 4th World Congress of Psychogeography, a curatorial intern in the Department of Media and Performance Art at MoMA (New York), a development & fundraising events intern at Southern Exposure (San Francisco), and a teaching artist for women and kids at risk of exclusion at Proyecto Vivir, (Valencia).
